Your battle against the forces of evil begins today in Madness drink, the old-fashioned single-player shooter game launched today exclusively for Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S. We are very proud of the final form of the game after working on it for a long time. In this article, we would like to give you a little insight into the pirate’s journey and a look at what you can expect to see in our game.
At the start of the game, Caleb (the protagonist of the game) receives a strange message via his radio. He learns that the evil Manos has unleashed demons and closed the gates of Hell. Now these ungodly beasts are free to roam the planets. As if that wasn’t horrible enough, if you get killed you also become one of Manos’ demonic slaves. We wanted to create a sci-fi game that has its roots in old school shooters, so players can prepare for a campaign full of shooting demons, weapon unlocking, and boss fights. Madness drink takes place in space and gives the player a chance to become a space pirate but not just any pirate. We wanted Caleb to be the kind of guy who fights demons not because he’s heroic, but because he thinks they’re bad for his business. He’s not your typical hero.
There are a few places that players will visit throughout the game. Some are quite typical of this genre: players will have the chance to explore the fauna of an alien world, old castles, secret laboratories, and caves. lava that were once considered the homeland of dragons. You will learn more about these locations and what they look like in the game itself. For now, all you need to know is that the game will take you to a lot of dark and shady places. You’ll have to be careful if you don’t want to be eaten alive, or burnt alive, or turned into a demon, or… just try not to die. It won’t be easy, that’s for sure, but if you put away some precious pickups and collect Madness Drop, you might find yourself just fine. Look for Madness Drops and use them to craft potent drinks that will aid you on your quest. We’re very excited about this feature, so let’s take a closer look at our drinks.
Each drink has its distinctive color: purple, orange, red, blue, yellow or green. Some of them are so strong that using them looks like cheating. The orange drink lets you see your opponents through walls and the red drink makes you incredibly powerful – you can deal more damage to your enemies when using it, but be careful. Nothing is ever so easy. You may suffer certain consequences after using our drinks. Some are very poisonous, others will make you see fake ghosts, but only with their remarkable effects can you make your way through the hordes of monsters. Use them wisely, defeat as many demons as you can, and don’t forget to save some for boss fights.
These are just a few of the many captivating elements of Madness drink. If you love humorous old school shooters as much as we do, you’re in for a treat. We hope you have as much fun walking through different locations looking for Madness Drop and shooting demons as we enjoyed making the game. Thanks for taking the time to read this post.
