Forza Horizon 5 Unveils New Gameplay and Cover Cars at gamescom 2021

Over the past few months, we’ve been giving fans of open-world driving a taste of what they can expect from Forza Horizon 5, including the breakdown of the different biomes you’ll explore on your run through Mexico. Now, with the November 9 release of Forza Horizon 5 on the horizon (I couldn’t help it), we’re excited to share with fans the first eight minutes of Pure and Pure. Forza Horizon 5 And we’re not done there yet, we’re also more than excited to present the recently announced Forza Horizon 5 cover cars: the Mercedes-AMG ONE and the 2021 Ford Bronco Badlands. !
Focus on the beginnings of Forza Horizon 5
During the gamescom 2021 Xbox stream, we showcased what gamers can expect when they jump into the game. Forza Horizon 5 for the first time, including footage of our two cover cars, the Mercedes-AMG ONE and the 2021 Ford Bronco Badlands, in action. As longtime fans know, the start of a Forza horizon game sets the stage for everything to come, so we thought it was important to share a look at these pivotal moments.
While you play Forza Horizon 5 and explore our expansive version of Mexico, you can expect cargo planes, an active volcano, a festival run under beautiful Mexican skies, and more. You’ll see thrilling sights like the Ford Bronco Badlands atop the active, snow-capped Gran Caldera volcano, the 2020 Corvette Stingray ripping through the asphalt towards a dust storm in Mexican farmland, and the Porsche 911 Desert Flyer crashing through the dense jungle canopy of trees.
And finally, you can experience the stunning Mercedes-AMG ONE at full speed along the sunny rocky coast of Mexico.
Introducing our cover cars: the Mercedes-AMG ONE and the 2021 Ford Bronco Badlands
Forza games are about cars only, and in addition to the in-game games we feature some great models on the game cover. We are delighted to reveal the cover of Forza Horizon 5 showcasing the Mercedes-AMG ONE, which marks the first time a car features Formula 1 hybrid technology almost one to one from track to street – putting that power in the hands of gamers allows them to explore the streets and roads of Mexico in an unprecedented way. Joining the Mercedes-AMG ONE on the cover is the 2021 Ford Bronco Badlands, designed to deliver rugged, all-terrain terrain across the vast terrain of Mexico like these incredible jungles and deserts.
Much like Mexico’s incredibly diverse location, we want to bring various vehicles to the game to take advantage of what Mexico has to offer. Bring the 2021 Ford Bronco Badlands and Mercedes-AMG ONE to Forza Horizon 5 was a real collaboration between all parties, which shows when you get behind the wheel.
We are delighted that Ford and Mercedes-AMG fans can drive the biggest vehicles of the year in the game, thanks to their great partnership. And thanks to the capabilities of the Xbox Series X | S consoles, we knew we could improve detail and authenticity more than ever. For example, ray tracing in Forzavista – we get a new level of material response and reflections, which are more like what you would see with your eyes in real life. It made it even more exciting for the team to capture the beauty and realism of these vehicles, and we can’t wait for fans to get their hands on them.
Forza Horizon 5 Limited Edition Xbox Wireless Controller
We also announced the Limited Edition Forza Horizon 5 Xbox Wireless Controller, inspired by the powder fireworks that go off throughout the day during the Horizon Festival in-game. The controller features a very first transparent yellow finish, with a custom colored visible rumble engine and lighting effects that play on the Xbox button. The controller features textured grips on the triggers and bumpers, as well as custom lower and side dimple patterned grips inspired by perforated-style performance car steering wheels.
The Forza Horizon 5 Limited Edition controller also includes exclusive DLC for a Forza Edition car, cosmetic item, and victory emote to celebrate your epic victories (DLC requires Forza Horizon 5 set, sold separately). You can pre-order today and this controller will be available on November 9.
Fans who want to explore the largest and most diverse open world ever in a Forza Horizon game don’t have much to wait. Forza Horizon 5 is released on November 9, and players can choose from Standard, Deluxe, and Premium versions of the game. Xbox Game Pass players will have access to the Standard version and if they purchase the Premium Expansions Pack, they will be able to enjoy All the great DLC from the Premium version of the game, including Early Access starting November 5th.
