Corbin Burnes engraves his name in the strikeout record book
Los Angeles Angels colons star Shohei Ohtani added to his home run tally with a two-point shot against the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday night.
On Wednesday night, a battle pitted two American League MVP contenders, Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Los Angeles Angels two-way street Shohei Ohtani. Ohtani led Guerrero in homers by a 37-35 count early in the game, but the Angels star added to his cushion.
With the Angels leading 2-0 late in the third set, Ohtani went to plate with outfielder Jo Adell first. On the fourth pitch thrown by Blue Jays pitcher Alex Manoah, Ohtani smashed the baseball into the bushes in the middle of the field to tie the game at two points apiece.
Angels: Shohei Ohtani crushed the 38th homeroom of the season on Wednesday against the Blue Jays
This circuit was not only Ohtani’s 38th homeroom of the season, but it was his first in 14 games. Oh, and he did it the night the Angels gave away awesome Ohtani t-shirts to fans attending the game.
With his home run fall officially over, baseball fans are wondering how much more he can hit before the regular season ends.
