This tentative schedule almost certainly omits a number of players from considering traveling to Tokyo for the postponed 2020 Olympics. The Tokyo Olympics are scheduled to begin on July 23, 2021.

This creates a lot of problems for players who want to represent their country on the bigger stage. Players will be faced with a dilemma as they also have to fulfill their NBA contractual responsibilities.

We are already in the 2nd round of the Playoffs. While it is not certain which series would take 7 games to complete, fatigue is said to be a huge factor as players prepare for the Olympics right after their duties.
