LOOK: Tolentino’s Yeezys features PH design handpainted by daughter Athena
TOKYO — A pair of Yeezy 350 V2s will pay off a lot on their own.
If the Philippines win gold at the Tokyo Olympics, however, this particular black pair could cost a bit more.
The President of the Philippine Olympic Committee, Representative Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino, here wears a pair of Yeezy, one printed by his daughter, Tagaytay City Councilor Athena Tolentino.
“It was her design and she painted it herself,” Tolentino said.
The design features a sun with rays extending across the colors red and blue. It is painted on the outer part of each shoe.
Tolentino will wear the shoe, which sells for over 30,000 pesos, as he supports Filipino athletes here. And if the eye-catching pair becomes a silent witness to a golden performance, there will be a coin of historical value attached to it.
