Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights

  • Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights is a 2D Action-RPG launching this week on the Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One platforms. Developer Live Wire and Adglobe, as well as publisher Binary Haze, have announced that the title will arrive on Playstation 4/5 later than the scheduled July 6 release date. The launch date of the PS4 / PS5 is now postponed to the third quarter of 2021, due to “unexpected technical difficulties”.
  • If you haven’t chosen the side-scrolling 2D action game yet, the game mixes rogue-lite elements with soul-like mechanics, with a number of abilities you can pick up from spirits you encounter. .
  • Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights is available on PC, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S.

Rumor: Bluepoint and Sony

  • Playstation Japan has apparently disclosed what appeared to be an acquisition for Bluepoint Games by Sony. A now-deleted tweet featured news of Playstation’s announcement of the Housemarque games, but instead featured a “welcome to the family” with the Bluepoint Studio logo and an image of Demon’s Souls with the Playstation Studio logo.
  • However, that tweet was quickly deleted and replaced with the correct image showcasing Housemarque games, but not before Twitter tackled it. Although it has been confirmed that the Housemarque games have been acquired, this does not appear to be the case for Bluepoint Games.
  • Bluepoint has now added to their Twitter bio and recent job postings that the developer is a “fully independent, self-funded studio,” which is a curious moment. Neither the developer nor Sony have confirmed whether this was just confusion.

Magical legends

  • Developer Cryptic Studios announced this week that Magic Legends will close on October 31. The game first released in Early Access in March of this year and is expected to launch in full later in 2021 for PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
  • Cryptic Studios shared that they have “no plans” to continue working on the game in the future. According to the statement posted on the Magic Legends official site by executive producer Stephen Ricossa, the game “missed the mark” in terms of vision.
  • The statement also confirmed that those who made purchases through Arc or the Epic Games Store will be refunded the full amount of their purchase. The open beta will remain open until the servers close, but the Zen Store will close immediately. All items will still be purchasable, but via the free in-game currency.

Pathfinder the wrath of the righteous

  • Developer Owlcat Games and publisher Koch Media announced this week that Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous will hit consoles later this year “on consoles both digitally and in retail.” The game will be released under Koch Media’s new Prime Matter label, which will bring the physical copies of the console to retailers around the world.
  • Also this week, the developer released a new developer diary, which reveals the city of Drezen more in detail. The city is a key location in the first part of the game, as players will be tasked with the siege of its central fortress by its queen. This appears to be the largest fortress the developer has ever built, and Drezen alone has over 70 cutscenes, but players likely won’t see them all in one game according to the developers.
  • In case you missed it, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is a new title adapted from Paizo’s legendary tabletop RPG. Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is not a sequel to Pathfinder: Kingmaker, but continues to develop the building blocks of the first title.
  • Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous will launch on PC via Steam and GOG on September 2, 2021. Launch later on consoles in 2021.

  • Grime, the upcoming anatomical horror with a soul-like experience, has been announced by developer Clover Bite to add the Stadia version to its launch platforms. The Action-RPG will arrive on PC via Steam, GOG and the Epic Games Store as well as Stadia on August 2nd.
  • In case you missed it, Grime is a Metroidvania-like soul that’s a surreal mix of anatomical horror visuals with challenging combat. Players will use living weapons made from creatures that can mutate during combat, including claw swords or centipede whips. The game has a unique mechanic where you can hunt down enemies and then absorb them to improve your skills, thus adding a lot of customization to your playstyle.

Diablo IV

  • In Blizzard’s quarterly update on Diablo 4, the developer released new images featuring models for a few classes, including Rogue, Barbarian, and Sorceress. They also shared the hair and skin customizations for the pre-alpha version.
  • The article details the improvements to skin, fabric simulation, hair, fur, metal as well as eye reflections and even perspiration. From the sounds, Diablo 4 will have very detailed visuals and this is not something that has been achieved without investment. Artistic Director John Mueller explains in the article that the characters in Diablo IV are designed to look “as artistic and as handmade as possible.” The characters also have a lot of customization when it comes to armor color palettes, as well as there are two body types for each armor set.
  • The article also featured an overview of some of Diablo’s well-known foes such as the Succubus, as well as new enemies, the Blood Bishop, and a reinvented Skeleton Lord. Mueller explains that the cutscenes will feature the characters up close and the story cutscenes will be rendered with their engine using in-game models. Baldur’s Gate 3

  • Larian Studios has announced the date and time for Panel from Hell 3 which will cover Baldur’s Gate 3’s next major update, Patch 5. Larians Studios will be holding their Panel From Hell 3 – Twitch Plays: A Noble Sacrifice at July 8 at 11:00 a.m. via Twitch.
  • In their latest tweets, the developer also shared that the upcoming patch will make previous versions of the game incompatible, posting some details on how to update your game to Patch 5 on Steam.
  • As for what we’ll hear about, Larian previously shared a preview of Patch 5, it will focus more on game features rather than adding new content. The studio also shared its goal for its release window to leave early access, which is currently set for 2022, with no current plans for PS5 or Xbox Series X consoles.

Dragon Age 4 and new mass effect

  • Bioware has confirmed that we won’t be seeing any updates for the upcoming Dragon Age 4 or the new Mass Effect game in EA Play Live 2021 this month. In a recent tweet, Bioware then shared that there would be updates for Star Wars: The Old Republic which had a live broadcast for its 10th anniversary this week, but neither Dragon Age nor Mass Effect will be seen in. EA’s next live stream.
  • Dragon Age 4 has received frequent updates here and there, but is still a long way from release at first glance. The most recent update is for some Dragon Age 4 art concepts teasing the Gray Wardens, as well as previously revealed details that this will be a solo title with no “live service”.
  • As for the new game Mass Effect, it was first revealed in a trailer during the Game Awards 2020. The trailer showed a snowy region where the character of Liara, one of the companions of the previous titles, was located. by Mass Effect.
