Your guide to Week 10’s games

East Hartford (4-4) at Simsbury (4-4), 6:30 p.m.: Been a tough-luck season for both teams. But finish strong.

Hall (7-1) at New Britain (1-7), 6:30 p.m.: Best thing that could have happened to Hall was losing last week.

Maloney (7-1) at Glastonbury (2-6), 6:30 p.m.: For Maloney, this is for a share of the CCC Tier 1 title, which is actually impressive for Maloney.

Southington (7-1) at Conard (3-5), 6:30 p.m.: …Of course, Southington will claim it’s the sole champ because it beat Maloney. But ya didn’t beat Hall, did ya?

Enfield (0-8) at Manchester (0-8), 6 p.m.: You can be sure the winner of this winless showdown going to savor the win forever.

Berlin (3-5) at Platt (4-4), 6:30 p.m.: Say this much for both squads: They compete. They’re tough to beat.

Middletown (3-5) at Wethersfield (6-2), 7 p.m.: Wethersfield needs to win out to have any playoff shot. But this is a much different Middletown team than a month ago.

Newington (6-2) at Windsor (7-1), 7 p.m.: They’re longshots in L. But here’s a chance for Newington to prove it’s truly playoff-caliber at least.

Bristol Central (7-1) at Plainville (6-2), 6:30 p.m.: Interestingly enough, Bristol Central needs this more for Class L than Plainville in Class M.

Farmington (0-8) at Bristol Eastern (3-5), 6:30 p.m.: Bristol Eastern’s final tuneup for what should be a fun the Battle for the Bell on Thanksgiving.

South Windsor (6-2) at Bloomfield (8-0), 7 p.m.: This ought to end South Windsor’s faint Class L playoff hopes for good.

RHAM (3-5) at E.O. Smith (1-7), 8:15 p.m.: RHAM’s last two opponents are a combined 1-15. Raptors would love a .500 season.

Avon (4-2) at East Catholic (2-5), 6:30 p.m.: All’s not lost for Avon in Class M. Three games, including a key one vs. Rocky Hill remaining.

Tolland (5-3) at Rocky Hill (5-2), 7 p.m.: Speaking of the Terriers, they need to win out to have any chance at a Class S berth. Tolland’s no pushover, either.

FCIAC

Ludlowe (3-5) at Bridgeport Central (0-8), 6 p.m.: At least there’s Thanksgiving to look forward to.

Warde (1-6) at New Canaan (7-1), 7 p.m.: Defense has been Warde’s biggest issue this year. New Canaan’s offense could use a pick-me-up.

Norwalk (5-3) at Wilton (6-2), 7 p.m.: If Norwalk’s going down, the Bears can at least take Wilton with them.

Ridgefield (4-4) at Staples (6-2), 7 p.m.: If Ridgefield’s going down, the Tigers can at least take Staples with them.

Danbury (3-5) at Trumbull (6-2), 7 p.m.: Trumbull’s back. But a win here merely sets up a possible do-or-die game across town on Thanksgiving.

NVL

Woodland (5-3) at Naugatuck (6-1), 7 p.m.: The Pinho Trophy is at stake for the first time in four years. Naugy’s also got Class L playoff aspirations.

North Haven (3-5) at Hillhouse (1-6), 6 p.m.: North Haven is the best 3-5 team we’ve seen. Hasn’t been outclassed once this year.

Hamden (5-2) at Law (5-2), 7 p.m.: Every game from here on is a playoff game for these two.

SWC

Bethel (1-7) at Masuk (6-2), 7 p.m.: Win this, and it’s a one-game regular season for Masuk.

New Milford (5-3) at Brookfield (3-5), 7 p.m.: At Stake: New Milford’s first winning season in 11 years.

New Fairfield (7-1) at Newtown (5-3), 7 p.m.: Beat Class LL Newtown and you might be worthy enough for the the Class S playoffs, Rebs.

ECC

Ledyard (6-2) at Woodstock (6-2), Noon: These two programs have come a long way to get here: a playoff-caliber game in mid-November.

Plainfield (4-3) at Stonington (4-4), 5 p.m.: The bloom sure has fallen off Stonington’s rose. But still, a good season considering.

Windham (3-4) at New London (4-3), 6:30 p.m.: Where’s this been all season, Whippets? Can they knock off the Whalers, too?

FCIAC

Pomperaug (0-7) at Barlow (5-3), 1 p.m.: Barlow’s had plenty of chances this year. At least Shaban is just a junior…
